The façade of new extension to the Farmiloe Building is constructed with Portland stone faced precast concrete cladding units. With Red Granite facings at the plinth, two contrasting limestones were selected for the piers and the recesses. The stones have been cast onto a precast concrete backing units, in the form of columns and spandrels that were delivered on a just in time basis and are self supporting.
